December 3, 2012 Meeting
Posted November 29, 2012 at 9:39 PMTHE BRANDERMILL REGION MEN'S CLUB will hold its last meeting of the calendar year on Thursday, December 6th. Our special speaker this month will be Barbara Palmer, volunteer coordinator for Bon Secours Hospice, joined with Morris Gant and Dianne Smith, two of her staff. Hospice is a a program that many of us may need to consider at some point in the future, and this presentation is designed to fully prepare us for that eventuality ... answering questions and helping to dispel many misconceptions. Horst Arfert and Earl Sanders will also be our Hosts, serving refreshments during the fellowship period starting at 9:15 a.m.
January 3, 2013 Meeting
Posted November 29, 2012 at 9:19 AMSpecial guest speaker for the January 3rd meeting of the Brandermill Region Men’s Club (BRMC) will be Larry Newman, a volunteer Master Gardener with the Chesterfield County office. Larry developed a keen interest in horticulture at an early age, and has had the extensive training in subjects such as taxonomy, plant pathology, soil health entomology, cultural growing needs, and sustainable gardening as well as wildlife and integrated pest management, to qualify for the designation, Master Gardener. As a lifelong native of the county, Larry is highly knowledgeable in the unique features and gardening challenges we face.
