Posted January 13, 2024 at 10:07 PMOur January meeting featured State Senator-elect Glen Sturtevant. He briefed the Club regarding the upcoming session of the General Assembly. He stayed behind after the meeting to answer questions from individual members.
Summer 2023

May 4, 2023 Meeting
Posted April 9, 2023 at 9:45 PMAt the May monthly meeting, the Chesterfield County treasurer provided an update on budget issues.
April 6, 2023 Meeting
Posted February 20, 2023 at 7:53 PMIn April, Garrett Hart, Director, Chesterfield County Economic Development Office, provided a terrific presentation about the development plans for the county. His data showed where the county stands compared to other regions inside and outside of the state. He also highlighted new projects coming into the county. Among several impressive examples is the Logo manufacturing facility. Its manufacturing plant will cover 115 acres and have sufficient rooftop solar panels to eliminate any need to use energy from the power grid.
March 2, 2023 Meeting
Posted December 31, 2022 at 4:36 PMRoxann Robinson spoke to the Club about recent actions taken by the Virginia legislature. She also announced that she would not run for reelection as delegate.
February 2, 2023
Posted December 31, 2022 at 4:36 PMFor our February meeting, Chief of Chesterfield Police Jeff Katz had a conflict so he was replaced by Major Brad Badgerow. Major Badgerow heads up Police Uniform Operations, traffic control, K-9 teams, and various additional specialty operations.
He discussed a number of topics of interest to the membership and offered to return to a future meeting to talk about additional Chesterfield Police activities and programs.
Also at the February meeting, 50 of our members enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Thanks to the members’ team that prepared and served the meal.
Delegate Roxann Robinson will discuss legislative accomplishments in March.
In April, we have a commitment from Garrett Hart, director of the county’s economic development office to make a presentation. If, for some reason, he cannot make the meeting, he will have someone else give the talk.
And we hope to have the developer for the Celebrations Property speak in May.
Bill Hanake, West Point graduate and severely wounded Vietnam veteran, has agreed to speak next November for Veterans’ Day.

50-50 Drawings Return
