Our guest speaker for the Dec. 7, 2017 meeting was be Elizabeth Hart Jones, who spoke about her father, Col. William A. Jones III, USAF, a Medal of Honor winner from the Vietnam War.


Elizabeth Hart JonesElizabeth is proud to be an Air Force brat with Virginia family roots that date back to the 1630’s. A graduate from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, she has lived in Charlottesville, Williamsburg and Fairfax County and has made her home in Brandermill for over fifteen years. Her family also has a farm in Warsaw on the Northern Neck which the Jones family has been cultivating every year since 1832. Elizabeth is the proud mother of two grown daughters and just became a grandmother.

She has served the Richmond area as a Realtor for over thirteen years and prior to that was a Kindergarten teacher. Having earned her firm's President's Club Award, Elizabeth is a member of the Berkshire Hathaway “Leading Edge Society” and has been named a "Listing Leader" several times during her career. Elizabeth has formerly served on the Executive Committee for the Richmond Chapter of the Air Force Association, and was a Docent for several years at the Valentine Richmond History Center. In addition to her passion for history, she is an aviation enthusiast and holds a private pilot's license following in the footsteps of her father and grandfather.
