Our Sept 7th meeting was held at the Brandermill Church. Our speaker was Mr. Bob Young, author, and government / pharmaceutical industry watchdog. Bob discussed his long-term efforts fighting pharmaceutical industry fraud, and the federal government's failure to identify and address it.
In 1991, Bob was pushed into fighting pharmaceutical fraud after discovering that drug manufacturers were falsifying sales, prices, and rebates by mislabeling pharmaceutical National Drug Codes. Bob’s presentation will address his experiences as a whistle-blower since that time. Using the data he collected from 1991 through 2015, Bob found that 46 brand drug firms owe $57 billion in unpaid Medicaid drug rebates. He is author of a soon-to-be published e-book entitled "On the Q.T.: How U.S. Government Hides Prescription Drug Fraud from Taxpayers, Making America's Drugs Unaffordable, Unavailable, As Well As Unsafe."
